In Shark's world, Yuuma was killed at the start of Astral's duel with Black Mist by the axe, leaving him and others seriously traumatized. While Kotori got the key, she wasn't ready to duel, so Shark would instead move to gather the remaining seven numbers (with varying levels of success). Eventually he would re-awaken his memories and power as Nasch, the Barian Lord; he's since accepted this role, but has yet to realize that in a sense, Yuuma is still there...

He was reborn as a Barian child, named Iildus, and has absolutely no recollection of his life as a human.
